Living Our Vision in the Community

We believe that faith and learning come alive when shared with others. Throughout the year, we take part in a number of meaningful activities that reflect our values and build connections across generations:

• Church Visits and Worship
  Our children regularly attend services and contribute to celebrations for important occasions such as Remembrance Day, VE Day, and major church festivals. These moments help us reflect on sacrifice, peace, and gratitude, nurturing a deeper understanding of history and faith.
• Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Activities
  We take part in the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal, helping our children understand the importance of remembrance and the value of peace. Pupils engage in acts of remembrance and produce thoughtful artwork and prayers displayed at school and in the church.
• Singing at Lindum Court
  Our choir visits Lindum Court Residential Home to sing for the residents, particularly at Christmas and Easter. These intergenerational moments bring joy, comfort, and friendship, reminding us of the power of presence and shared celebration.
• Dementia Friends and Compassionate Awareness
  Through our involvement in the Dementia Friends initiative, children learn how to support and understand those living with dementia. These lessons foster empathy and kindness, preparing our pupils to become caring, responsible citizens.

Through these experiences, our children learn not just with their minds, but with their hearts. Each act of service or remembrance is a step in becoming the best that we can be, individually and collectively.
