Year 2
Welcome to Year 2. The teacher is Mrs Lewin and the teaching assistant is Mrs Hather. Our PE days are normally Tuesday and Wednesday, but please ensure that children bring their PE kit to school on a Monday morning in case of any changes to the timetable. We will do PE inside or outside depending on the weather.
Please listen to your child read every day as it is so important for them to practise the skills they are learning in school. In school we follow the SoundsWrite phonics scheme, and the home readers we use are from a range of schemes, including Dandelions, SoundsWrite, Floppy's Phonics, Songbirds, and Oxford Reading Tree, which have been aligned to the SoundsWrite progression.
